Leuven Kermis

The last evening of Leuven Kermis, and our best find was on a grill hung on chains.

Leuven Kermis is the city’s September funfair (@leuven): almost three weeks of rides and stalls on Ladeuzeplein and Hooverplein. This year it ended on 23 September, the day many of them give discounts. We went in the early evening, while the sun was still on the rides and the neon was already on.

The grill hung over an open charcoal fire, with burgers and big bratwurst on it, and the stall baked its own bread. We both had a cheeseburger and a cola. Twelve euros a burger, and worth it. Dessert was a Dubai chocolate strawberry cup, which didn’t make it into a single photo.
