Old Boy

A South-East Asian grill in Brussels where almost everything meets the fire. Our table at Old Boy was green marble and quickly full, milk-fed veal T-bone off the barbecue, nam jim jaew on the side, som tam turning everything pink. Mapo hummus to start, natural wine the whole evening.

And then the part that stung. We are literally named after mussels, and we only spotted the kaprao mussels on the menu once we were home, stir-fried with chili and Thai basil. So we are going back, and that order is already decided.

For date nights that lean loud, and for anyone who books the counter to watch the fire.
